An organization, no matter how well designed, is only as good as the people who work in it

At Loving Care, we employ a dedicated team of over twenty staff who provide high quality and compassionate care in our clients’ own homes locally. Our small and friendly team of staff are headed by owners Sandra Jenner and Lorraine Elliott, with support from our management team.

Sandra Jenner – Co Owner and Registered Manager

Sandra started at Loving Care in 2003, working as a Community Care Assistant. In 2008 Sandra achieved level 4 NVQ and then Registered Manager Level 4 in 2009 before taking over the role as Registered Manager for the company. Sandra, with co-owner Lorraine, took the opportunity to acquire Loving Care Domiciliary Services Limited from the company’s original owner in 2010. Sandra’s training and many years of hands-on experience helping people in the community enables her to accurately assess the requirements of each new client and risk assess their properties before support is provided. That way we know that both our care workers and clients are safe.

Lorraine Elliott – Co Owner

Lorraine began working in an administrative role for Loving Care in 2008. After a career in the financial industry, Lorraine quickly realised that working for a company that takes pride in supporting older people to live well at home was something that provided her with a great deal of job satisfaction. In 2010 Lorraine jointly acquired Loving Care Domiciliary Services Limited with Sandra.

“Although my role focuses on the operational, financial, service quality and compliance aspects of the business, I am very ‘hands on’ and I enjoy having day to day contact with care staff and the people who use our service. What matters to me the most is that we provide a service our staff can be proud to be part of.”

Rachael – Deputy Manager

Rachael started her career as a Nursery Nurse and obtained a Level 3 NVQ qualification in Childcare before joining Loving Care as a Carer in 2013. Rachael progressed to Supervisor in 2016 and then on completion of her Level 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care was promoted to Deputy Manager in 2018. Rachael is also qualified to train Loving Care staff for Moving and Handling Safety and First Aid.

Kim – Supervisor

Kim joined Loving Care in 2008 as a Community Care Worker. Kim completed her Level 2 NVQ in 2009 and Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care in 2013 and was promoted to Supervisor soon after. Kim has continued her formal training – most recently focussing on specialist Dementia care.

“My work with and study of Dementia has given me a unique insight into what it must be like to have dementia and this helps me to relate to people with this condition. I enjoy sharing this knowledge with my colleagues whilst supervising and supporting them in their day to day work activities.”
